Privacy policy
How pdfFileUtility handles information when you use this website.
Last updated: November 2026
Files you process
pdfFileUtility does not require an account. Merge, split, unlock, image conversion, compression, PDF-to-image and scan operations are designed to run in your browser. These operations do not intentionally upload your document contents to our server.
Protect PDF is different: the PDF you select is sent over HTTPS to the server so that password encryption can be applied. It is processed in a temporary file outside the public web directory and returned as a download. The temporary output is deleted after download. The uploaded temporary file is managed by the web server and is not retained by pdfFileUtility as a user document.
Technical information
The hosting provider may process standard request information (such as IP address, browser details and server logs) to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. Hosting and log retention are controlled by the site operator and provider.
Cookies and local preferences
pdfFileUtility uses the Laravel session and CSRF protections required for the website to function. Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage. We do not use this site to require advertising or analytics cookies.
Security and your choices
Use an up-to-date browser and HTTPS connection. You can clear browser site data to remove the saved theme preference. If you have a question about this policy, contact the website operator through the contact details provided by the site owner.
